The Program

Twelve sessions. One clear, evidence-based arc.

Personality & Life Skills is the condensed, weekend-friendly version of iGrow's flagship 24-session Personality & Soft Skill Development curriculum — built for people who want the same outcomes on a shorter, three-month calendar. It keeps every session that anchors real behaviour change, and merges closely related topics so nothing that matters gets cut for time.

Every session runs on the same 90-minute rhythm, so participants always know what to expect and facilitators can hold the pace from the opening warm-up to a take-home task that carries the learning into daily life.

  • 01

    Kept as full sessions

Orientation & Self-Discovery, Confidence & Attitude, Goal Setting, Public Speaking and the Capstone/Graduation session — these anchor the whole program.

  • 02

    Thoughtfully merged

Closely related pairs share a session without losing depth — self-awareness with active listening, verbal with non-verbal communication, time management with stress management, grooming with etiquette, and more.

  • 03

    Compressed, not dropped

Resume & LinkedIn, group discussion, and interview skills — usually standalone sessions in the full career-readiness track — are combined into the final two sessions here.

Who It's For

Built for three different starting points, one shared goal

For Students

Build the foundation early

Develop self-awareness, confidence and communication skills before you're being evaluated for a college seat, a scholarship or a first internship.

For Fresh Graduates

Close the readiness gap

Turn academic knowledge into workplace presence — grooming, etiquette, group discussions and interview skills that get you past the first round.

For Working Professionals

Sharpen how you lead

Strengthen the interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills that separate a good individual contributor from someone ready to lead a team.

What You'll Walk Away Able To Do

Ten outcomes, tracked from day one

By Session 12, participants can point to specific, practised skills — not just a certificate.

Describe your own personality traits, strengths and growth areas using structured tools — the Personality Wheel, SWOT and the Johari Window.

Regulate emotional responses, listen actively, and read non-verbal cues in yourself and others.

Speak with confidence in one-on-one, group and public-speaking settings.

Set and pursue SMART goals aligned to a personal vision and mission statement.

Manage time, energy and stress using practical productivity and resilience techniques.

Present a professional image through grooming, etiquette and digital communication.

Collaborate effectively in teams, resolve conflict, and exercise situational leadership.

Apply critical thinking and structured decision-making under real-world uncertainty.

Build a job-ready personal brand — resume, LinkedIn profile and interview readiness.

Approach opportunities with an entrepreneurial, innovation-oriented mindset.

Every Session, Same Rhythm

Six segments. Ninety minutes. No wasted time.

Whatever the topic, every session moves through the same structure — so the learning compounds instead of resetting each week.

01

Warm-Up

A quick, low-stakes activity that opens the room and connects to the topic.

02

Concept Input

The core idea, framework or model for the session, explained with real examples.

03

Guided Practice

A structured exercise where the facilitator walks the group through applying the concept.

04

Skill Application

Participants apply the skill directly — role plays, drills, worksheets, recorded practice.

05

Feedback & Debrief

Peer and facilitator feedback, and a group discussion on what came up.

06

Wrap-Up & Take-Home

A recap, a real take-home task, and a preview of the next session.

Know Yourself

Sessions 1–4
01Orientation, Icebreaker & Self-DiscoveryThe psychological contract for the whole program+

Ground rules, mutual expectations and a structured icebreaker set an emotional tone that's growth-oriented and non-judgemental from day one. Participants complete their Personality Wheel baseline — rating themselves across eight life and workplace dimensions and their first personal SWOT analysis.

02Self-Awareness & Emotional IntelligenceSeeing yourself through your own eyes — and others'+

The Johari Window helps participants shrink their "blind spot" through structured peer feedback. A simple Notice–Name–Pause–Choose sequence builds emotional self-regulation, and a triad listening drill teaches the difference between hearing, listening to reply, and truly listening to understand.

03Building Self-Confidence & Positive AttitudeConfidence as a practised skill, not a fixed trait+

Confidence is built through small, low-stakes wins collected over time. Participants learn the growth-mindset shift ("not yet" instead of "can't"), reframe limiting beliefs into constructive affirmations, and practise delivering them aloud with real feedback on voice and posture.

04Goal Setting & Personal VisionTurning "someday" into a scheduled first step+

A Wheel of Life assessment surfaces which life area most needs attention, which becomes the target for a SMART goal with a number and a date attached. Participants build a first-draft vision board for the next 1–3 years and draft a one-sentence personal mission statement.

Express Yourself

Sessions 5–8
05Verbal & Non-Verbal CommunicationWhat's actually being heard+

Participants map the communication process and its common barriers, then practise pace, pitch and word choice through recorded 2-minute talks. A mirror-and-match drill builds awareness of posture, gestures and eye contact — and how they read differently across cultures.

06Public Speaking & Presentation SkillsA reusable structure for any talk+

Stage fear is reframed as a normal, manageable response using box breathing and grounding techniques. Every participant plans and delivers a 2-minute impromptu speech using the Opening–Body–Close formula, then receives peer feedback on structure, delivery and engagement.

07Time, Productivity & Stress ManagementWorking on what matters, not just what's loud+

A personal time audit reveals where hours actually go. Participants sort real tasks through the Eisenhower Matrix, build a weekly planner around what's important-not-urgent, then practise a guided breathing technique to regulate stress under pressure.

08Grooming, Professional Image & EtiquetteThe first seven seconds+

Covers the psychology of first impressions, grooming and dress-sense basics across formal and business-casual settings, and greeting, dining, phone, email and digital etiquette. A video-recorded "first impression" walk-in exercise gives participants direct, kind feedback.

Lead & Launch

Sessions 9–12
09Interpersonal Skills, Teamwork & Conflict ResolutionWorking with people, not just alongside them+

Team roles, and the difference between assertive, passive and aggressive communication, come alive through realistic conflict-scenario role plays — deadline disagreements, unequal group effort, miscommunication — and a negotiation simulation debriefed for win-win outcomes.

Team rolesAssertivenessNegotiation
10Critical Thinking, Decision Making & LeadershipDeciding well with incomplete information+

Introduces situational leadership styles — directing, coaching, supporting, delegating — through a case-study debate, then a business-case exercise where teams must decide and justify a call under deliberately incomplete information, with common thinking traps named live.

Decision-making frameworkSituational leadershipThinking traps
11Resume, Group Discussion & Interview SkillsThe three moments that decide the shortlist+

An ATS-friendly resume workshop with peer review, a LinkedIn profile self-audit, a recorded mock group discussion on a live topic, and STAR-method answer drafting for common behavioural interview questions — plus a low-stakes salary-discussion role play.

12Entrepreneurship, Innovation & GraduationProof of growth, and what's next+

An opportunity-spotting exercise leads into a Business Idea Canvas and a 60–90 second pitch to peers and mentors. The session closes with the Personality Wheel post-rating — compared side-by-side against the Session 1 baseline — followed by certificate distribution.

"The first session sets the psychological contract for the entire program. Our job isn't to teach content on day one — it's to lower the emotional stakes of participation."

Frequently asked questions

Who is this program designed for?+
Students, fresh graduates and working professionals who want structured, practised growth in self-awareness, confidence, communication and leadership — not just a theory session.
How is the Personality Wheel used?+
In Session 1, every participant rates themselves across eight life and workplace dimensions to set a personal baseline. In Session 12, they repeat the rating and compare it side-by-side with where they started — visible, personal proof of growth rather than a memory.
What will I need to bring or prepare?+
Just yourself and a willingness to participate. Every session's worksheets, templates and materials are provided — from the Personality Wheel and SWOT worksheets to the resume and LinkedIn checklists used in later sessions.
Is there a certificate at the end?+
Yes — Session 12 closes with certificate distribution alongside the Personality Wheel comparison and a personal growth reflection.
